The Book of Revelation

The woman is the nation Israel. The crown of 12 stars point to the twelve tribes of Israel.

This dragon is red. It causes immense bloodshed.  It has seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns upon his heads.   The dragon is the devil himself.  He casts a third of the stars to earth.  The stars could be a third of the angels in heaven that followed him when he fell.   As he is cast out of heaven, so are the third of the angels with him.  What the earth ends up with is Satan coming to earth to give power to the antichrist while he and his angels reign over the earth.   The ten horns will match the ten toes of Daniel’s image.

This man child is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lion of the tribe of Judah.  The child being caught up to his throne interprets the previous two.   Israel gives birth to the Son of God.  The devil is in total conflict with God himself.  The devil will take over the kingdoms of this world.   He has a third of the angels follow him. The whole word of God has the devil and his angels in conflict with God and his angels over who is in control.

This war in heaven occurs during the tribulation.   Up to this point Satan and his angels are allowed into the second heaven and Satan also has access to the throne of God. (See book of Job)  Satan and his angels are cast down to the earth.  Satan enters the antichrist to give him his power.  He uses his angels to control the earth.  Satan knowing his time is short focuses his wrath on the nation Israel. When Satan is attacking Israel, the term time, times and half a time is used.

Israel will flee to the wilderness after the abomination of desolation.  Satan through the antichrist follows Israel and attempts to destroy her; however, God and the two witnesses intervene to keep Israel safe. The duration for Israel in the wilderness and the time of the ministry of the two witnesses are designated one thousand two hundred and threescore days. This lets us know the two witnesses (Rev chapter 11) ministry is during the same time that Israel is in the wilderness or the last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation.

The remnant will be all of Israel that is left at the end of the tribulation period.  It will include those people who are aiding or supporting Israel and have not taken the mark of the beast.  The Lord’s return is about to take place and only a few (remnant) are left.
